Hello and welcome to my new website, my name is Ben Hart; I am an independent Councillor for Lydd Town and Parish. I am also a heavily dedicated member of the Labour and Co-operative Party, I believe in a third way, a world economy built on some of the mechanics of capitalism, but with safety nets to protect people from the sudden changes in fortune that capitalism brings. We need to make Capitalism work for everyone, not just those who already have money.
Well the Conservative District Councillors are all guns on defending the fact we need a 'proper consultation' on this Parking mess, Cllr Tillson (Dymchurch and St Mary's Bay) has reminded us in The Herald today, that it (the consultation) was always planed (which we already know) and that the people who called the polls have unnecessarily cost the local Councils money. Well I suggest that, the consultation will now cost us more money than the successful poll. As the Parking strategy will cost the Council and therefore the tax payer more money too implement, which I'm sure they will, no matter what the residence, business or Mary Portus tell them!
